Reflections after Sanctity of Life Sunday

I will answer your question again

Your life is a holy gift

I will fix you another meal

Your life is a holy gift

I will give you space to have your melt down

Your life is a holy gift

I will hold you tight when you are frightened

Your life is a holy gift

I will stay when you push me away

Your life is a holy gift

I will change your diaper

Your life is a holy gift

I will help you put on your shirt

Your life is a holy gift

I will listen to you tell me the same story again

Your life is a holy gift

I will fix you another meal

Your life is a holy gift

I will help you use the potty again

Your life is a holy gift

I will wash your skin gently

Your life is a holy gift

I will help you stand and walk

Your life is a holy gift

I will lift you up when you cannot stand

Your life is a holy gift

I will sacrifice my days and hours for you

Because your life is a holy gift.

Even though you are not able

Your life is a holy gift

Someday after all of my sacrifice

You will leave me

And I will remember when you were old

And became again like a baby

And how every single day of

Your life was a holy gift.
